Chandler Park Dental Care Hosted Seventh Annual ‘Smiles from the Heart’

Chandler Park Dental Care once again provided free dental care to anyone who needed it, at their seventh annual Smiles from the Heart event.

The Smiles from the Heart event, first held in 2011, has been a huge success. For 2017, 225 patients received treatment during the event and over $89,000 in free dentistry was provided.

“We know that times are tough and many people put off important things like dental care,” says Dr. Jackson. “That’s why I have assembled a team of volunteer dentists, assistants, and hygienists to give a totally free day of dental care.”

Smiles from the Heart was designed specifically to treat people who need urgent dental care.

“We treated as many people as we could on February 10th. Each person had the choice of receiving a cleaning, filling, or extraction. We saw people all day long, as many as we could, all at no cost to them,” says Dr. Jackson.

“We know there are many fine people in our area who really need dental care, but right now they just can’t afford it,” says Dr. Jackson. “That’s why we are trying to reach out to as many people as possible. Our message is: just come in, let us help you.”

The eighth annual Free Dentistry event took place on Friday, February 2, 2018, at Chandler Park Dental Care, 1857 Tucker Way, in Bowling Green. Dr. Jackson and his team started seeing patients at 7 am and continued until 4 pm.
